We exist to love, follow, and share Jesus so that others might come to love, follow, and share JesusOur purpose is to glorify God in everything we do. Colossians 3:17 tells us, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (ESV). We were created for God’s glory. The Westminster Shorter Catechism states, “Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him forever.”
When this life is over, when the mission of God’s church has ceased because of His glorious Return, our purpose will remain unchanged. We will continue to glorify Christ throughout all eternity.
This means we greatly value the gathering of God’s people for corporate worship. We are called to individual worship (Romans 12:1), but we believe God is most glorified in community (John 17; Ephesians 5:18-21, Hebrews 10:23-35). Therefore, we heavily promote our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30am and our Wednesdays at The Way at 6:30pm.
