What makes The Way Fellowship Church unique? What separates us from the church down the street? Why do we do the things we do?
Our values are what shape us as a church. Our Core Values are the values upon which we build everything else.
#1 The Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the source of all authority. As God’s word to man, it directs every aspect of a person’s life. We submit ourselves to it and commit to studying and obeying it.
#2 The Advancement of the Kingdom
We do not exist for the building our kingdom but for the building of His. As citizens of the Kingdom, we proclaim the majesty of the King, for His fame and His glory.
#3 The Priority of the Gospel
The Gospel is our priority in everything. It is the means by which we have been saved. It is the message we have been entrusted to proclaim to the nations for God’s glory.
#4 The Call of Discipleship
Jesus commanded His disciples to make other disciples. It is not enough to just share the Gospel. Christians are called to teach others what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
#5 The Work of the Holy Spirit
We cannot accomplish anything in our own efforts; it is the Holy Spirit who solely changes lives. Therefore, we strive to join the Holy Spirit in what He is already doing.
#6 The Power of Prayer
Prayer reflects the relationship we have with the Father. As we pray and listen to Him, we better understand His will and submit to His transforming work in our lives.
#7 The Necessity of Community
No man is an island; it is not good for man to be alone. God enjoys community in Himself (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and through the Gospel gathers us together into true community.
#8 The Joy of Serving
There is joy in our service to others. Jesus is our supreme model of service, not only calling us into service but also demonstrating how we are to serve others.
#9 The Blessing of Giving
We are stewards of time, talent, and treasure. None of it is ours. All of it belongs to God. When we give in faith, God is glorified. It truly is more blessed to give than to receive.
# 10 The Life of Worship
Worship occurs Sunday through Saturday. It is our verbal confession of God’s divine character and our daily obedience to His will for our lives.
